This incredible oversized, framed photo of the 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers World Championship Team, actually hung in the Dodgers Clubhouse for years before finding its way to the collecting community. The famous photo measures a whopping 50" in length and 24" tall and is housed within a vintage wood frame that was painted "Dodger Blue" back in the day. There are actually small droplets of the paint in several spots at the photo's edges, indicating that it was touched up at some point while the photo was still in the frame. There are also a few light abrasions and small stains and three, thin 1" scrapes and a 4" scratch. All in all, the piece is in splendid condition. The photo was originally mounted to hard, 1/4" press-board, which remains uncracked, as does the wooden frame. The provenance of this Unique piece of Brooklyn Dodger history can be traced back to a Lelands auction in New York many years ago, where it sold for just under $5000 at the time. Truly a "Must-Have" item for any avid Brooklyn Dodgers enthusiast!
