A vintage black and white photo featuring the "Iron Horse", Lou Gehrig in full swing. The photo includes a facsimile autograph, probably indicating that this photo was used to produce one of many different baseball and baseball card premiums that were issued by a variety of newspapers, card manufacturers and by the Yankees themselves. The photo exhibits some wrinkling and light edge and corner wear and has the outline of a large "X" on the reverse from construction paper that the photo was apparently affixed to at one time. Somebody obviously used a streak of glue across the back of the photo diagonally both ways, creating the "X".
