Though the "Big Train" has placed his signature on the sweet spot of this Official American League basball, the signature has suffered serious fading since its application nearly eight decades ago. Nonetheless, it is discernible and thus is able to fill the empty space that exists in most Hall of Fame ball collections. The Johnson signature rates 2/10 in quality. The OAL Ban Johnson baseball on which the signature resides is a valuable commodity in its own right, and it presents gorgeously, with deep, dark stamping. Fellow Hall-of-Famer Stanley "Bucky" Harris' signature appears on the side panel above Walter's and rates a couple points higher in quality at 4/10. A well worn original box holds this rare treasure and the ball and box are accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
