Here is the popular, full color one sheet movie poster from the 1949 re-release of the film "the Pride of the Yankees". This fun film featured Gary Cooper in the lead role as the Yankees "Iron Horse" Lou Gehrig and also featured baseball legend Babe Ruth in a number of scenes. Ruth is depicted on the poster holding his bat. This re-release poster is consdered by collectors to be superior to the 1942 original one sheet that did not have Ruth pictured. This particular example is the best condition copy that I've ever had and is completely free of restoration and has not been linen-backed. Colors are vibrant and the paper quality is fresh. There is a very small seam-tear at right center border and a tiny, tiny separation of the paper at the centerpoint of original studio folds. Otherwise, I would have graded this poster Near Mint.
