Though this poster dates from the re-release of the classic Gary Cooper film, it has always been the most desired as it features a prominant image of Babe Ruth holding his bat. The poster for the original release of this film in 1942 does not show Ruth at all and does not have the color that this version has. The film itself has been considered by many to be the greatest Hollywood homage to baseball in celluloid history. The poster has been professionally linen-backed and during that process, a few minor fold separations and small tears were greatly minimized and now the poster looks quite impressive.
