The "new look" Captain Midnight debuted in this issue. In this, his first Fawcett appearance he looks more like a "superhero" than in his previous comic book outings (The Funnies, etc.). Captain Marvel also makes a cover appearance. This comic has nice eye appeal, despite its low technical grade. Cover color is jusy a bit lighter than it should be, indicating very slight fading. There is a small tear at top staple and a tiny chip at right edge of front cover and a tiny bindery tear at top of spine. besides these small flaws, there is a light water stain at right edge of book that slightly affects covers and is more visible on the interior pages, although not bad. Interior pages are supple and cream colored, except where the moisture stain has slightly yellowed the paper. A very solid VG copy, that actually presents as Fine.
