This is the rare Wheaties giveaway comic that only came with all four corners taped to boxes of Wheaties and thus never turns up in high grade. This example is very solid, despite having the usual four tape marks near each corner. The two top pieces of tape have been removed, causing a small amount of paper loss. There is a clean 2-inch tear just to the left of the bottom left piece of tape. There is also a tiny tear at bottom edge of each page that is only noticeable upon close inspection. Cover colors are strong and the White pages are very fresh and supple. Spine is nice and tight. Back cover has a cool Wheaties ad that features Hall-of-Fame baseball pitcher Bob Feller. Only four copies of this scarce giveaway comic have been certified higher by CGC (as of February 23, 2010). 2009 Overstreet Guide value is $325.
