This is the very rare Style 'C' one sheet for the Disney animated classic. It is definitely one of the rarest of all Disney posters, with only an estimated three examples extant. It shows Snow White fleeing the murderous huntsman, depicted wonderfully by the accomplished artist Gustaf-Tenggren. Disney invested $1,500,000 and three years of hard work, along with the combined talents of 570 artists into the production of this animation gem. The film was a huge success, earning 8,500,000 depression-era dollars, that not only saved the company financially, but also laid the foundation for the animation empire that was to follow. Considered to be one of Disney's top works, this film remains a favorite among fans everywhere. This rare style was printed on heavy paper stock which ultimately made it more fragile over time (posters printed on thinner paper stock were easier to fold or roll for storage purposes), thus causing some wrinkles and fold lines that have been professionally repaired during the paper-backing process. There was the necessity to touch up a few areas of background art as well and is also the case with the upper left corner, which was touched up from the tip of the corner to the 'H' in the word 'His' in the header. Overall, a terrific example of an extremely rare Disney collectable that is one of the most sought after and one of the most visually appealing.
